Land Potential
We turn our residual wood into premium cooking products. These products are custom-made for Offset Smokers, wood stoves, and Pizza Ovens. In addition, we provide smoking chunks for heat beads and charcoal, both low and slow. Our wood is cut and tailored to suit smaller ovens and smokers. Our timber is seasoned, standing for a minimum of five years. This means constant air circulation and even drying around the entire stem to ensure an efficient and clean burning product.
Cooking Wood
Discover the hidden opportunities in creating a functional space on your property by removing heavily wooded undergrowth, stumps, and invasive trees. Our precision equipment and heavy-grade mulcher can grind up rocks hidden in green growth.
Landcare Services

Quick Start Guide
Use Dry, Seasoned, and Untreated Wood:
Ensure that the wood you burn has been dried to achieve a moisture content of 12% up to 18% and seasoned for at least 5 years. Avoid treated wood, as it can release harmful chemicals.
Control Air Vents:
Always open air controls or vents before adding more fuel to the fire. Proper ventilation is crucial for efficient burning.
Establish the Fire:
Before loading your fireplace or stove with fuel, make sure the fire is well-established.
Effective Burning:
Once the fuel is added, ensure the fire is burning effectively before dampening the air vents to maintain proper combustion.
Avoid Overloading:
Do not overload your fire with too much fuel simultaneously; it can smother the flames and reduce efficiency.

"Get to Know Our Family - Meet Our Team and Discover Our Values"
Michelle Sorrenson – Director, AdministrationMichelle has spent most of her career as a veterinary nurse with a strong focus on emergency vet care. The family has always been the centre of Michelle’s focus, and between hubby and two kids, they have become very accepting of stray four-legged animals that ‘need a new home.’ A couple of cows, sheep, a squad of ducks, three cats, two cockatiels, and a geriatric greyhound are now lucky to be a part of the Sorrenson clan. A couple of years ago, we had a crazy idea to discover silviculture forestry management. Fast-forward to 2024, and we are the proud owners of a registered hardwood tree plantation, and the whole family is involved in creating a sustainable environment that gets us back to nature. Michelle is pursuing studies toward achieving her Master of Business Administration (MBA) while patiently learning how to operate tractors, chainsaws, and reverse trailers. If she is not in the forest, she spends time with her dance crew or hanging out with the family (furry and feathered ones included).
Camm Sorrenson – Director, OperationsCamm has an extensive history and experience operating and maintaining machinery in the earth-moving industry, with skilled excavation and civil construction expertise. His strong sense of adventure has resulted in many road trips, action-packed holidays, and recently off-grid camping experiences. His desire to create a legacy for his family and future generations led Camm to silviculture forestry practices. His thirst for sustainability and regeneration of natural resources, coupled with his extensive experiences and skills in machinery, was a perfect foundation for creating this organization of forest maintenance and land care. The support and encouragement from family further cemented Camm’s desire to document his journey. From growing and cultivating seeds to forest maintenance and land reclamation, Camm’s willingness to embrace a sustainable industry and create a family legacy is in full swing.
Xander is the eldest child with a keen eye for detail and technology. He is eager to contribute to the family forest and help integrate technology and toys, such as flying drones and creating media content. He loves exploring the forest and engaging in chopping wood competitions with his sister.
Kabel is the youngest child but not the shortest family member. She is athletic and creative and always keen to try new things. Her sense of adventure is welcomed in the forestry setting, and she is eager to learn the ropes and contribute to maintaining the forest. She loves to dance, sing, swing an axe and compete with her brother in chopping firewood.
